Firstly many thanks for your very warm welcome last Saturday, I really appreciated it! Certainly any thoughts of any misunderstanding the week previous were long gone beforehand anyway! As someone who owned and ran a corporate events company for several years - I know the hard work that goes into making them a success. Overall I thought the event was excellent, pitched at just the right tone in speeches (Jason White was a pleasant surprise - but good to have a new face to speak on the scene) Many attendees our occasional, but for lots I bet who like me, are always at rugby events and dinners different speakers are very welcome (It freshness that will keep them coming back).Food and Drink were excellent - and so was the venue. It was great to work with you and looking forward to seeing you next season.

Thoroughly enjoyed the event, as did all of my clients… the informal nature of it went down very well, as I explained on the day that one wealthy client flew in by helicopter in the morning and loved the real rugby atmosphere. Fed up of stuffy hospitality. Do you run anything similar down south?  We’re already sorted for 6 Nations, but it will be starch linen & cucumber sandwiches!!!

Dear Scott, On behalf of Robbie and myself, I would like to thank you both for your help in assisting Event Scotland with the organisation of the The Open at Hoylake for us. Your assistance took pressure away from us during a busy period and we appreciate your help. It was great to see you both last weekend at the event and I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Best wishes Yours sincerely.

Paul Bush
Deputy CEO - Event Scotland

Dear Scott, I just wanted to say a big thank-you to you and the Platinum One team for taking such great care of us at Hoylake last week. I have had great feedback from our guests and they will long remember the Open at Hoylake. As always it was a pleasure to work with you. You and your brother have the happy knack of combining professionalism and fun, roll on Kingsbarns..”

Dear Scott, Just a short note to thank you most sincerely for your commitment and efforts over the last 18 months in the successful delivery of the Golden Oldies last week. The event attracted around 3000 players in 120 teams from 18 countries across the world, bringing an estimated £4 million economic impact to the Scottish economy. Thanks again With best wishes Yours sincerely.

CEO – EventScotland

Dear Scott, I know that both Jai and Jon have already expressed their gratitude to you but it would be totally remiss of me not to add my own words of thanks for all the guidance, opportunity and help you gave us during last week’s festival. It really was the most amazing event from beginning to end and you must be absolutely thrilled at how well it all went. I know from personal experience that that does not just happen, it comes as a result of an awful lot of planning. There is also no doubt in my mind that the name Wooden Spoon will also travel the globe as a result of the opportunities you afforded to us and for that we are especially grateful. Yours sincerely,

Charlie Bryden
Chairman, Wooden Spoon Scottish National Committee

Dear Scott, All of our staff have expressed how much they had enjoyed working in such a unique environment of fun and friendship. From all accounts you have run a very successful event - congratulations on the considerable planning and enterprise that you had to put into making it run so well. Best regards,

Scott, The Edinburgh Festival ranks up there as one of our best Rugby events - thank you for the Operations aspects of the sporting component.

The Touch World Cup was a fantastic success and has elevated the reputation of the Scottish Touch Association. It fills me with an enormous sense of pride for us to be able to realise our vision to host such an event and then to do so in such spectacular fashion. I have lost count the number of players, referees and officials, many of whom have attended multiple world cups, who have said this has been the best ever.

Peter Faassen de Heer
STA President

Just writing to say thank-you for the opportunity to take part in the touch world cup last month. I had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many people from all over the world. You and Viki did a great job. It must have been very stressful for both of you but you did not ever let the stress effect the friendly and caring way you dealt with everyone. I hope we will meet again one day. All the best

Volunteer from Australia

Thank you to you both for the superb delivery of the event that you achieved and our friendship. The event would not have been such a success without your personal dedication to the task. Initial survey feedback supports that. Yes, Let's speak soon. Regards,

Just to say a big well done for putting together and running a great World Cup. I know the hard work that needs to get done before the event even starts and it all came good. I'd be interested to hear the feedback from people, I wouldn't expect it to be anything but positive. I really enjoyed the being part of it, it was a very memorable week and along with the other volunteers, we all pulled together as a great team to pull it off. They were all good fun to work with. I think that is one of the best things about working on such a project - the sense of achievement at the end, and to know that everyone came together to play a part. I remember suffering from post-Euros blues after last July. Hope you both take a well-deserved break!

Tom Bedkowski
Statutory Director, Tournament Director, England Touch Association

From me personally, there is no doubt that this was the best tournament that I have experienced in my career. Everything seemed to fall into place. The outcome from and for the referees I found to be excellent.

Hi Scott, thanks for your email, we're glad it was a positive experience for you and you were right to ask for the fourth voice. The coverage was well received and complimented by the NZ broadcaster after the first day. So all round it has been a good experience for us, Glasgow and the sport itself. Happy times then. Thanks for all your input and help over the last year, we are very grateful for all you did. Cheers

Hi Scott, The event looked, and sounded fantastic, a credit to everyone at the venue. Right Holders here were very happy with the coverage, as was I after months of planning. Hope we get a chance to work again in the future, Thanks

Absolutely brilliant tonight! You get better and better. So much info, passion, knowledge….Pleasure to have you on the show. Also your enthusiasm & input makes up for the lack of atmos & slightly average skill level. Least it was exciting…Thanks for keeping it interesting! Quality…Think you’re still buzzing from the ‘no thanks vote’

Hi Scott, One week gone and I thought it might be a good time to drop you a note. Thanks for all your efforts so far, you've done your job excellently. With a number of relatively inexperienced performers in the co-comm role it's been great having you there as a seasoned pro. I was watching this morning and it reminded me listening to you that the role of a good co-commentator is not just to analyse in-play, but to perform the role, get some drama into your voice and build the experience for the viewer. You do this very well indeed. Top work mate. Can't wait to get out there and I'll buy you a glass or five of the best wine we can find. cheers tony

In cricketing parlance: a genuine all-rounder, and we know how useful they are! Finally, may i wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a happy Hogmanay.
